Il Volo to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo



 – Nobel Peace Prize Concert organizers announced today that Kylie Minogue, Ne-Yo, Il Volo, Milow, Fanfare Ciocarlia & OqueStrada are the final set of artists to perform at the 19th annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert on Tuesday, December 11th in Oslo, Norway at the Oslo Spektrum arena. They join previously announced artists Jennifer Hudson, Seal, Karpe Diem, Laleh and Susanne Sundfor. This year’s concert, hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker and Gerard Butler, features artists from all corners of Europe in addition to international stars.
This year's Nobel Peace Prize Concert will honor the European Union (EU) "for having over six decades contributed to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe."  The award is given annually to an individual or organization whose work exemplifies a spirit of hope and leadership that will help promote peace in the world.  The Concert is presented by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert AS and broadcast to a global audience.

The Nobel Peace Prize is the most prestigious award in the world, honoring icons such as               Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Barack Obama, Kofi Annan, Al Gore and other remarkable individuals and organizations.  For the past eighteen years, the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony has been followed the next day by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, a musical celebration honoring the laureate. The Concert is presented by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert AS, produced by IMG in cooperation with Eyeworks Dinamo and broadcast to a global audience. 
The Thomas L. Pearson and The Pearson Family Members Fund is the global benefactor for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize Concert. “The Thomas L.
