Il Volo accomplished their mission: go beyond the boundaries of opera

The Italian trio composed  Piero Barone Ognibene  , Ignazio Boschetto Licardi and Gianluca Ginoble Castorani are already in Monterrey to present to their regiomontano audience on Tuesday with the songs of their new album Mas Que Amor.
A year ago, they first presented in Monterrey with thier debut tour. The Mexican fans response was so positive that Il Volo is not only back, but decided to start with Mexico for thier second international tour in Latin America with four concerts .
On Tuesday, October 8 at Auditorio Banamex present the show of this tour Mas Que Amor , but talked with the press before Monterrey .

How does it feel to return to Mexico for the second time ?
- Very excited to begin tour in Mexico . In Guadalajara , Puebla and then on Sunday in the National Auditorium, with sold out . I think it was one of the most beautiful concerts of our lives. It was all full and fans sang all the songs.



What separates this show from the previous ?
- Now we sing the songs from the new album, Mas Que Amor , and also the most beautiful of the first CD. What we like is that we interact with the public , we make the concert for our fans, to sing with them , we have many surprises.

Something positive about Il Volo is that you have attracted the youth to hear this music , how to accomplish this ?
- That was the unexpected that we all thought that this genre was going to be heard only the elderly. But we see that young people listen to us .
There are many singers and pop groups singing the lyric , as Il Divo , Andrea Boccelli as our idol , but it is the first time that young boys like us sing lyric pop , then it is a new thing , so many young people are attracted. I think it's important to have a musical culture that a 17 or 18 listen to Luis Miguel , Julio Iglesias or Frank Sinatra, not only Lady Gaga, or Katy Perry or Justin Bieber, I also listen to them, but you know the history of music, from Beethoven , you have to listen too all parts of musical culture .

And you are preparing a Christmas album , right?
- Yeah is going to come out on October 22 . We sing Feliz Navidad with Belinda . When we decided to do this duet we told the record company wanted a girl beautiful , talented, famous and sing well, then , who else ? ... Belinda !
