The announcement cites “an unforeseen scheduling conflict” as the reason for the cancellation. There are no plans to reschedule the Atlanta date (apparently there are many scheduling conflicts in the boys’ future).
Il Volo – not to be confused with Il Divo – is the Italian trio of young men whose most recent album, “Il Volo…Takes Flight: Live from the Detroit Opera House,” hit No. 1 on the Billboard classical chart (the group’s name means “the flight” in English).
The threesome received a huge promotional push with their performance of the Italian standard “O Sole Mio” on a May 2011 appearance on “American Idol.”

Two concerts scheduled for N.C. have also been cancelled with no rescheduling date provided. Could be the ticket sales were not as great as expected - who knows. Perhaps the promoters at liveNation think we southerners cannot appreciate the fine quality of Il Volo's music. Whatever, I'm out $200 bucks for a contribution to PBS but I would most definitely prefer to have tickets to see and hear these fantastic boys - particularly PIERO!!! Love me some PIERO!~!!
