It took a few days of promotion in Italy and participation in programs such as Domenica In, the ' Kiosk Fiorello and Porta a Porta (with the guys who scored 23.9% with 2.413 million viewers, marking the season record for the program) for the participation of Il Volo, the trio formed by the tenors Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble baritone, at the top of the Italian charts with their latest digital album "Buon Natale - The Christmas Album" .
The album is in fact present in the Top Ten most downloaded iTunes albums in our country, a result that reflects the success that the three boys are getting especially abroad: with three months away in America, the CD is still among the top 50 on the Billboard 200.
IL Volo will host the December 25th Eurovision on 1 Rai of the traditional Christmas concert of the Sacred Convent of Assisi came to the XXVIII edition. The concert, conducted by Maestro Steven Mercurio, will air after the Urbi et Orbi blessing of Pope Francis. During this event, recorded on December 14 in the Upper Basilica of San Francesco, took turns on stage, as well as Il Volo, Arisa, Stacy Francis and Paul Sorvino with the children's choir Choir and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, directed by Maestro CiroVisco, and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI.
The three young singers, the first Italian artists to sign a contract with an American label (Interscope Records) have just returned from a long tour that saw them as protagonists in the last 4 months of over 40 concerts in major halls of North, Central and South America.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca have literally conquered the American public reinterpreting in a work-pop classics of our tradition of music and not just coming to duet with Barbra Streisand at the last American tour of singer and actress. But that's not all, just read their biography to realize all that they have built in just 4 years since their debut.
These guys are great.
