Il Volo, Lost Interviews

Theree Tenors without Fear of Flying 12/11/2013
They called them the three tenorini Three teenagers with their faces clean from the good guys and the miraculous gift of voices on stage to leave you a song , on Rai 1, 2009. But the timing of the talent show, now seem far away. Since then, there has been participation in We are the world for Hait i, alongside stars such as Bono and Barbra Streisand. Then the performance at the Sanremo Festival. Their debut album, in 2011, platinum in Italy, the U.S. was ranked among the top sellers at once. The intuition of Michael Torpedo, manager of the likes of Andrea Bocelli and Giorgia, who saw the three boys the potential of a successful trio, has proved successful.
Piero Barone, twenty Agrigento, Ignazio Boschetto, 19, also Sicilian him, and the 18 year-old Gianluca Abruzzo Ginoble are cresciut i. They acquired a more adult and sophisticated, they became a trio of professionals, "Il Volo , "which leads the world in the melodic tunes of the Italian tradition, revisited through their lyrical voices. A style that fascinates the public especially in South America. The three boys have just completed a tour of nearly 50 dates across North and South America. Then again in the U.S. to promote their new album, Merry Christmas - the Christmas album . On December 14, will be in concert in the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, along with international guests. The recording of the concert will be broadcast on Rai 1 December 25 at 12.15. Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca have soared. but, from the good guys of the Italian province, have not mounted the head. "We live in a magical world," they say on the phone from Los Angeles, "but sometimes it is good to get back with your feet on the ground."
Have you gained a tremendous success and rapid, especially in South America. What is your relationship with the popularity? "We do not get deceived by the fame. Our families every day we say, "Guys, do not ever forget where you come from, who you are, what is your country of origin." Sure, having reached the younger fills us with pride. We thought that our audience was made up only by people over 50. But our goal was to bring this music to new generations and now is an enormous satisfaction to see the girls that fill our concerts and scream when we sing songs like A love so great , 'O sole mio, The World . In New York, after a concert, a lady told us: "You have won three generations." She had come to feel with her daughter and granddaughter. "
How and how much has changed your life? "Very. The entry in this moment is the most important thing we have and in the two months that we are in Italy we devote all the time to the study of singing. We can not attend our friends as we did before. We finished studying privately. In fact, we are missing a lot of our families. This is the hardest thing of our life now. Sometimes our dad are with us in the tour, which is very tiring. The technology helps: we are in contact on the internet, skype. But we do not see our parents for seven to eight months a year. "
Are you friends even off the stage? "Yeah Right away between us there was a great feeling, we started singing together as friends, as we are now brothers and sisters who share everything. And then there is always with us Michele Torpedo, our manager: now for us is like an uncle. " Have you gotten gains unthinkable for most of your peers. What is your relationship with money? "We know how to behave, we do not miss anything, if we can go into a store and buy expensive clothes we do, but do not overdo it in the item. earnings With the first we have helped our families, we have paid all the debts. Our parents have made sacrifices, our dads work respectively as a coach builder, carpenter and transport of medicines to pharmacies. " How did your passion for singing? Responds Piero: "I started singing at five to six years. E 'was my grandfather to find my voice. I began to study piano and my grandfather claimed expenses. then, thanks to the perseverance of my father taking me to singing lessons, I have cultivated my dowry. three of us were lucky to find the right place at the right time. "ù
To support such demanding tour you will have to follow a very strict way of life ... "We are children of villages very simple, we are not accustomed to going to the disco, to be too late in the evening, eat healthy, we have a life adjust. We must thank God for giving us these items, and our job is to take care of them. "

Il Volo charms sold-out Fillmore with 'Love' and happiness

When Il Volo fans around the country tune into the “We Are Love” PBS special filmed Tuesday night in front of an enthusiastic, sold-out crowd at the Fillmore Miami Beach, they’ll get plenty of the teen trio’s snappy fashion, swarthy good looks and impressive vocal firepower.
But what may not be so evident once the outtakes are taken out:  These guys are a lot of fun.
More than just another Il Volo concert, Tuesday’s two-hour-plus filming (for a TV special scheduled to air June 1) offered local fans a unique,  unedited view of the Italian pop-opera trio in action. Cues were missed, power was lost, lines were flubbed  –– such is “live” TV ––  but the boys seized each do-over as an opportunity to show off an abundance of witty charm.
When the impossibly handsome Gianluca Ginoble (pictured, left) was being fussed over by stylists between songs, Ignazio Boschetto (right) asked: “Do you need a mirror?” Then, to the audience: “He has a house full of mirrors.”
As the formerly pudgy Ignazio wandered back from his own primping session, the third member of the trio, Piero Barone, intoned: “Ladies and gentlemen, Johnny Depp,” causing Ignacio to do a little catwalk vamping.

Il Volo at the Fillmore: Can you feel the love, Christmas cheer?

As one-third of the dashing young Italian pop-opera trio Il Volo,  Piero Barone has seen his share of unusual clothing items thrown his way onstage. But he expects South Florida fans to be more modest Wednesday night, being such a chilly winter evening and all.
“Yes, we would like to see a lot of warm clothes, and the ugliest sweaters!” Barone says with a laugh, describing the trio’s imminent Christmas concert. Yes, Christmas.
Il Volo will perform two shows this week at the Fillmore Miami Beach, each being recorded for an upcoming special on PBS,  no stranger to Il Volo, with repeated broadcasts of their 2012 debut special, “Il Volo Takes Flight.”
On Tuesday, the concert is called “We Are Love,” celebrating the trio’s fall release of the same name, backed by a 26-piece orchestra.  It is scheduled to air June 1.
On Wednesday, the audience will serve as a key visual when Il Volo records a Christmas special called “Buon Natale,” scheduled to begin airing in November, with holiday favorites from “Silent Night” to “Feliz Navidad.”

Il Volo pop opera teens to record two PBS concerts at Fillmore Miami Beach (with rehearsal video)

Il Volo, the teenage Italian pop opera stars who last fall toured North America with Barbra Streisand, wish everyone happy holidays.
Not Easter or Passover. Merry Christmas.
“Only Il Volo can sing Christmas songs in March,” says tenor Ignazio Boschetto, 18, who with fellow tenor Piero Barone, 19, and baritone Gianluca Ginoble, 18, perform two concerts (including a 2013 Christmas special) to be recorded for PBS on Tuesday and Wednesday at The Fillmore Miami Beach theater.

“We feel very Christmas-y in March,” says Richard Jay-Alexander of Miami Beach, their concert director who also guided them on the Streisand tour.
The young men say they’re excited about working again with RJA.
“We are really lucky because we have another grandpa,” jokes Barone. “We didn’t know that. A big grandpa — Richard Jay-Alexander.”
“Very funny,” deadpans Jay-Alexander, 59, during a concert rehearsal at WLRN-TV studios in Miami. (CONTINUE READING BELOW)
