On September 27th, 2013, 3 years after the interview "A Day In The Life in NYC", Il Volo realized their dreams. Ilvolover, you just lived an historic day for Il Volo and this is just the beginning.
We're proud of them, there's nothing more to say about that wonderful day; "speechless".

Il Volo released their new cd, We Are Love (Special Edition), May 28th on Interscope Records. The new offering will feature selections from their fall 2012 release We Are Love as well as five newly recorded songs including: One Direction's "Little Things," Sarah McLachlan's "Angel," "Surrender (Torna A Sorrento)," "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" and West Side Story's "Maria." Il Volo opera/pop trio comes to Westbury

"We don't sing just opera and we don't sing just pop," says Piero Barone of the Italian trio known as Il Volo, making its second concert appearance in two years at NYCB Theatre at Westbury Tuesday evening.
"We're a crossover between classical and contemporary," the 20-year-old tenor adds. As the only one of the three who's no longer a teenager -- tenor Ignazio Boschetto and baritone Gianluca Ginoble are both 19 -- Barone is the group's senior spokesman.
He speaks three languages -- Italian, English and Spanish -- but like the others, Barone also sings in a fourth language: German. Wagner, anyone?
"I'm the dramatic one," Barone says by phone from Chicago. "I can do opera. We sing with harmonies."
OPERA IDOL His greatest thrill so far is recording "Il Canto," with the legendary tenor Plácido Domingo. "I've been listening to him since I was 5 years old, and now he listens to us. Can you imagine? We decided together to dedicate the recording to Luciano Pavarotti because he's a countryman of ours," Barone said of the late tenor great. Domingo agreed to sing with Il Volo at the urging of a grandson.

The trio discusses its fresh blend of pop and classical, as its latest release roars onto the Classical Crossover Albums chart
"What Il Volo does is we don't sing opera and we don't really sing pop. We sing classical songs in a fresh way and pop songs in a really classical way," the trio's tenor Piero Barone explains.
Il Volo, rounded out by fellow tenor Ignazio Boschetto and baritone Gianluca Ginoble, recently stopped by Billboard's New York studios to chat about its music, including its new "We Are Love: Special Edition," which bows at No. 3 this week on Billboard's Classical Crossover Albums chart. In its original release, the set debuted and peaked at No. 2 in December.
Il Volo first arrived on the tally in April 2011 with its self-titled effort, which went on to lead for four weeks. The threesome reigned again last year, for an extraordinary 17 weeks, with "Il Volo … Takes Flight: Live from the Detroit Opera House." In just more than two years, all seven of the act's chart entries have reached the top 10, the most among all artists in that span.

The golden-voiced guys of Il Volo are bona fide musical fans, and are prepping to debut a special edition of their sophomore album, We Are Love, on May 28, featuring "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" from The Lion King and West Side Story‘s "Maria."
