G:We're excited to sing here. We're going to sing in Spanish too, and we going to sing the beautiful song by Jose Jose "El Triste"
Interviewer: That certainly was the song Latinas fell in love in your presentation of the Latin billboards. And you guys keep conquering the word
P: we're very thankful because we're bringing our music to the young generations, to the girls. And this is our third week, and we will also go to Latin America
Interviewer: This one the most expected tours, you talked a lot about coming back for this tour
G: Yes, we started the tour in Vancouver and were going to all the important cities in USA and Canada. And in October we're going to Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, Panama among many others

Il Volo brings hit pop-opera to Comerica Theatre

The Italian lads who comprise pop-opera trio Il Volo are definitely men now: Youngest member Gianluca Ginoble turned 18 this year. But the guys show no signs of shaking up their family-friendly, PBS-ready image anytime soon.
“When we have free time, we enjoy our Playstations,” says Ginoble, caught at a Vancouver hotel before the launch of a North American tour. “We have fun, like all teenagers and people 18, 19 and 20.”
The group still travels with parents in tow. Baritone Ginoble and tenor Ignazio Boschetto are accompanied by their moms; second tenor Piero Barone brings his father. The entourage journeys around the globe, with the group boasting a strong following that extends through Latin America, Australia, Asia, Europe and North America.
“Everything is going good,” says Ginoble, who speaks Italian, Spanish and charmingly accented English. “We hope to continue in this way. This is our third tour of the United States, and we will sing at the best venues, like Radio City Music Hall. This is a dream come true to do this live and in such a short time.”
The three singers first performed together on Italian TV in 2009 during a talent show, and stayed together once their run on the series ended. A 2011 debut album reached the Top 10 in the States; a second studio album, “We Are Love,” appeared late last year. The group also issues releases aimed at the Spanish-speaking market; this year’s “Mas Que Amor” topped the Latin pop-album charts in the States.

Can you blame a guy for wanting to kick back a little? Some downtime with his beloved grandfather, hanging out with his 13-year-old younger brother (who's already taller than he), soccer every day with his buddies, some free moments to wander the meandering streets of his quaint hilltop village — it's all a nice break.
"I'm enjoying my vacation — for a month!" exclaims Gianluca Ginoble, on the phone from Italy.
But don't get the 18-year-old Il Volo singer wrong. He's excited to get back to the crushing schedule of an international pop-opera star.
After a whirlwind couple of years in which the trio has criss-crossed the globe, including concerts and TV appearances, in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America, the three singers — Ginoble, Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto — are embarking on a new American tour.
Fresno is one of four West Coast appearances scheduled, along with Vancouver, Concord and Los Angeles.
The group plays Friday in a presentation by Fresno Grand Opera at the Saroyan Theatre.
The funny thing is, Ginoble says, that Il Volo gets more attention overseas than in his native country.
"We are not so famous in Italy," he says.

Il Volo is living the teenage dream

GIANLUCA GINOBLE, LIKE his buddies in the teen pop-opera sensation Il Volo, would at the tender age of 18 seem to have it all. With the looks of a young, perfectly coiffed Tony Curtis, a closet full of slim Dolce & Gabbana suits, and stage gigs with the likes of Barbra Streisand and his idols Placido Domingo, he has already done more in his life than a lot of people three times his age.
While other teen pop stars meet early success by, say, vomiting on-stage and relieving themselves in janitors’ mop buckets, it’s refreshing to find Ginoble staying down to earth. The Straight reaches him while he’s on a rare break at his small hillside home of Montepagano, just a few minutes’ walk from the coastal city of Roseto, in the Abruzzo region where he grew up the son of a truck driver.
“We toured from March to July through Latin America and the U.S., so it’s nice right now to be with my friends, hanging out, going to the beach every day, and playing soccer,” the polite, affable young baritone says in a mellifluous Italian accent.
Il Volo’s rocket-ship ride to worldwide stardom started about four years ago, when Ginoble was just 14. All three members were competing in an American Idol–like show in Italy called Ti lascio una canzone. Producers Michele Torpedine (who took care of Andrea Bocelli’s career) and Tony Renis were blown away by the mature sound of their voices and had the brilliant idea to hook them up, like a boy-band Three Tenors. There’s a guy for every taste: Ginoble is the dark and romantic baritone, Piero Barone is the serious one in funky red spectacles, and Ignazio Boschetto brings the big-voiced, dimpled charisma. Think Bocelli sound with One Direction looks, if the latter had a penchant for Italian designer suits.

LOS ANGELES - Pasta was the most successful Italian export product to the US until Il Volo, the operatic-pop trio composed of young Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble. They landed, and caught the attention of radio, have faced successful tour of the States on the stages and in the meantime their records went up high in the rankings. The Rise of Il Volo overseas seems unstoppable. The debut album was immediately "platinum", while the second, We Are Love, lea is climbing the Billboard charts. Last year Barbra Streisand wanted them with him along the North American tour, the first for her for twenty years now, and a duet with them on stage.

Il Volo has appeared in popular television talk shows (to Jay Leno, in particular), in many shows over the public network PBS and finally landed well on American Idol, the X Factor U.S.. The interest of the entertainment industry for the trio nostrano is huge, and not only by the record: Disney is planning a film about their (still) short career, starring themselves. The three tenorini boast legions of teenage fans who adore them, in open competition with Justin Bieber.

5 awesome reasons to see Il Volo

1. They’re taking off.
Il Volo, which translates to “the flight” in English, chose its name based on the boys’ desire to spread their wings. And now that the band has taken off from Italian soil, Il Volo has landed full force in America. After the international release of its first, self-titled album, "Il Volo" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Classical Album chart.
2. They’re ‘Idol’ status.
Almost immediately after dropping their first album internationally, the guys headed to the U.S. for a performance during the final three results show on American Idol’s Season 10. The group performed a cover of “O sole mio,” which translates to “my sunshine.” The song is an 1800s Neapolitan song, which Il Volo released as a single.
3. They’re do-gooders.
Post-earthquake, the trio participated in the charity single, “We Are the World 25 for Haiti.” The song, a remake of “We Are The World” by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, debuted at the 2010 Winter Olympics opening ceremony, and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Il Volo also participated in the President’s Star Charity show in Singapore and performed “O sole mio” to help raise funds for the handicapped.

Il Volo, the Italian Opera trio, have been confirmed to perform their hit song “Mas Que Amor” during the “In Memoriam” tribute of the “40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards,” which will be introduced by “The Young and the Restless’” Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), Hunter King (Summer Newman), Jess Walton (Jill Foster) and Corbin Bernsen, the son of the late Jeanne Cooper. The tribute is scheduled to honor the legendary actress who died last month.

They haven't reach the age of 20, but when they open their mouths and start singing, it is as if transformed.
The Italians Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble up the group Il Volo, and his lyrical pop proposal, celebrate life, love and music.
Il Volo was in Chicago last June 1 at a record signing and mini concert at Barnes & Noble at DePaul University. Came special edition promoting his latest album "We Are Love" (Mas Que AMor) and  to promote the city's special WTTW Channel 11 aired the same evening of the concert at The Fillmore Theatre in Miami, Florida, which took place on March 26.
These two tenors (Barone and Boschetto) and a baritone (Ginoble) revolucinan not only classical music also pop.
Il Volo will be back in Chicago on September 4, this time in concert at the Chicago Theater.
